Get Help With Your South Carolina Divorce Without Hiring Full‑Scope Counsel
Subscription-based, unbundled legal services: strategy, coaching, and document drafting while you remain self‑represented.
What Is Unbundled, Subscription Divorce Help?
Instead of paying a large retainer for full‑scope representation, you pay a predictable monthly fee for ongoing guidance, coaching, and document help. I do not appear in court for you or list myself as attorney of record; you remain self‑represented, and I support you in the background so you can move your case forward with clarity and confidence. This model is designed for people who are willing to be hands‑on but want more than generic online forms and guesswork.
Important:
This service is limited-scope representation. I’ll help you understand your options and prepare your paperwork, but you’re responsible for filing documents, meeting deadlines, and speaking in court. Limited scope representation DOES NOT include a lawyer making court appearances or directly communicating, negotiating, or responding to opposing counsel or the Family Court.
How it works.
1. You choose a subscription tier based on how much help you want with documents and how often you want to meet.
2. We sign a limited-scope agreement that clearly defines what I will and won’t do. Prior to commencing the representation, I will be required to conduct a check to ensure there is no conflict of interest.
3. Each month, you get access to our written and video library plus the coaching, drafting, and review included in your plan.
In every tier, you can expect
· Secure messaging for questions and updates.
· Access to a members‑only library of SC‑focused guides, checklists, and videos.
· Clear next steps after each session so you know what to do before we talk again.

FAQs
Will you go to court with me or speak for me?
1
No. This is a limited‑scope, unbundled service. I do not appear in court for you, sign pleadings as your attorney, or communicate with the court or opposing counsel as your representative unless we sign a separate agreement for that work.
5
Is this the same as hiring a full‑service divorce lawyer?
2
No. With full‑service representation, I would handle all aspects of your case from start to finish and speak for you in court. With this service, you stay self‑represented and I provide advice, coaching, and document help behind the scenes.
What types of cases work best with this unbundled, subscription model?
3
Uncontested divorces, lower‑conflict cases, and matters where both spouses are willing to exchange information and negotiate in good faith tend to benefit most. More complex, high‑conflict cases may still need traditional representation.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
4
In most situations, yes. We can adjust your plan as your case needs change, subject to the terms in our engagement agreement and any notice required for billing.

Information about engaging the law firm for unbundled legal services
Unbunded representation is retaining this law firm on a limited-scope, unbundled basis to provide legal coaching, advice, strategy, document drafting, and document review related to the client’s South Carolina family court matter. The representation does not include entering an appearance as attorney of record, filing documents, serving documents, communicating with the court or opposing counsel on the client’s behalf, attending hearings, mediations, depositions, or trial, or otherwise providing full-service representation unless the parties later sign a separate written agreement for those services.
The client understands that this is a subscription-based arrangement. In exchange for the monthly fee selected under the client’s service tier, the firm will provide only the services included in that tier during the applicable billing period, and unused time, calls, drafting, or other included services do not roll over unless expressly stated in writing.
The client remains solely responsible for all court filings, deadlines, service of process, court appearances, communications with the court, and final decisions in the case. The firm may rely on the facts and documents provided by the client, and the client understands that the quality and usefulness of the firm’s work depends on the completeness and accuracy of the information supplied.
Either party may terminate this limited-scope engagement in writing, subject to any notice requirements in the billing terms. If the client requests services outside the selected subscription tier or outside the scope of this agreement, those services will be billed separately only if the firm agrees to provide them and confirms the additional fee or new engagement in writing
